How it works

Some links to retailers on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer may pay Sauna Blueprint a commission. The price you pay is not affected. Every such link is marked as a partner link where it appears, and carries rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines treat it as commercial rather than editorial.

Links to manufacturers, manuals, specification sheets, test reports, and standards bodies are never affiliate links. Those are the sources the data is built from, and monetising them would compromise the only thing this site is for.

The actual numbers

We would rather show you the shape of this than describe it vaguely. Across 103 products where we searched for a purchase route:

  • 54 have at least one retailer we can earn from.
  • 49 have none. Those pages tell you the product is available directly from the vendor and send you there, earning us nothing.
  • 20 affiliate programmes were verified against the programme’s own published terms. Where we could not find or confirm terms, we did not assume a programme exists.
  • 18 manufacturers documented here have no affiliate programme we could verify at all.

Amazon

This site currently carries no Amazon links. If that changes, this page will state it and the required disclosure will appear on every page carrying such a link, before the link itself.

What commission does not affect

Set out in full in our editorial policy, and in short: not which products appear, not the order they appear in, not what the filters do, not what the sizing calculator returns, and not whether we publish something unflattering about a product we earn from. The source conflicts index is the easiest place to check that last one.

How prices on this site work

Where we show a price, it is the figure that named retailer published for that exact model, read from the retailer’s own product feed on the date printed beside it. It is a dated observation, not a live feed and not our own quote.

That distinction matters. Sauna equipment is discounted often and pricing varies by dealer, so a figure here can be out of date without anything on this site changing. We print the date against every price precisely so you can judge how much weight to give it, and we never round, average, or present a “typical” price. The seller’s own page is the only authoritative figure at the moment you buy.

Where a retailer’s listing covers several configurations and our link does not target one of them, we show the full range rather than the cheapest option inside it. Where a model has no verified retailer, we show no price at all rather than borrowing one from a similar model. We also do not publish prices in the page’s machine-readable structured data, because that would assert a current price to search engines that we cannot promise is still true.

Programmes we have verified

These are the affiliate programmes whose published terms we read directly. Listing them is part of the disclosure: you can see who might pay us.
