How we make money

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence which products we cover, how they are described, or how they rank — see our editorial policy.

How it works

Some links to retailers on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer may pay Sauna Blueprint a commission. The price you pay is not affected. Every such link is marked as a partner link where it appears, and carries rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines treat it as commercial rather than editorial.

Links to manufacturers, manuals, specification sheets, test reports, and standards bodies are never affiliate links. Those are the sources the data is built from, and monetising them would compromise the only thing this site is for.

The actual numbers

We would rather show you the shape of this than describe it vaguely. Across 59 products where we searched for a purchase route:

  • 40 have at least one retailer we can earn from.
  • 19 have none. Those pages tell you the product is available directly from the vendor and send you there, earning us nothing.
  • 20 affiliate programmes were verified against the programme’s own published terms. Where we could not find or confirm terms, we did not assume a programme exists.
  • 18 manufacturers documented here have no affiliate programme we could verify at all.

Amazon

This site currently carries no Amazon links. If that changes, this page will state it and the required disclosure will appear on every page carrying such a link, before the link itself.

What commission does not affect

Set out in full in our editorial policy, and in short: not which products appear, not the order they appear in, not what the filters do, not what the sizing calculator returns, and not whether we publish something unflattering about a product we earn from. The source conflicts index is the easiest place to check that last one.

Why there are no prices on this site

Prices are the most obvious thing an affiliate site would show, and we deliberately do not. Sauna equipment pricing varies by dealer and changes without notice, so any price we published would be intermittently wrong in a way that costs you money. Follow a link for a current price from the seller.
